Process Engineer – ASSEMBLY LINES

The Process Engineer is responsible for monitoring the daily production in his area of ​​responsibility. Evaluates processes and comes up with methods to improve the workplace in terms of ergonomics, efficiency or output. Monitors and defines work equipment parameters. Defines and maintains work and operating instructions. Responsible for TPM in his area of ​​responsibility. Works together with the Shift Manager and/or Segment Manager.


Responsibilities:

  • Sets process parameters, performs intervention and maintenance operations

  • Responsible for MTM (Methods Time Measurement) and SWI (Standard Work Instruction)

  • Defines working methods, implements new products and verifies the start of production

  • Draws up process validation documentation, creates work instructions and control

  • Defines process flow, monitors the production line/lines in terms of output, quality rate, working method and ergonomics troubleshooting and debugging

  • Trains operators and technicians/machine operators, comes up with continuous improvement projects; Ex: SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Die) and eliminates MUDA; implements/maintains 5S

  • Improves ergonomics at workstations, automates manual processes

  • Defines ware & spare parts list and performs weekly maintenance according to plan; monitors spare parts availability.


Requirements:

  • University and/or postgraduate studies (BcH, MsC) in the disciplines: Automation, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or comparable

  • Minimum 2 years experience as a process engineer, industrialization engineer, quality engineer in a production environment, Automotive or Electronics 

  • Able to interact and relate with international teams (suppliers, customers, internal); preferably experience in international projects.

  • Knowledge of English/ German at conversational level.
