Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Industrial Park Ghimbav, Brasov (Romania)

Job type: full time (Mon-Fri, 8:00 – 16:30)

Duration of contract: permanent
Reports to: Technical Manager

Role:

You will be part of the Technical department that ensures design and documentation for the production of Charge Air Coolers according to standards and based on individual customer requirements.
You will be in daily direct contact with our Project Managers in DK, getting the project requirements and details clarified and also reviewing and following up on the projects that you will be involved in.
You will get the chance to manage small projects, either following/organizing the manufacturing of your designs that requires special attention, or can be internal development/improvement projects for the existing product program.

Requirements:
➢ University degree (Mechanical Engineering profile)
➢ 5 years of experience in a manufacturing company, metal working industry
➢ Experience with 3D construction tools (such as Autodesk Inventor, Solid Works)
➢ Experience in working with any ERP system as well as BOM (bill of materials)
➢ Experience in working with designs according EN and ASME standards
➢ Knowledge of design and calculations according to PED and/or ASME 8.1 will be considered as
an advantage, but not a requirement.

▪ You need a good English level as there will be daily communication in English with our project managers
and through them to our international placed customers and suppliers.
▪ Having experience with heat exchangers (knowledge of casting/drilling processes) is considered a plus but
not a requirement.

Responsibilities:
➢ Create and maintain 2D and 3D drawings in Autodesk Inventor according to standards and
specified requirements in cooperation with Project Managers
➢ Coordinate establishment and changes in master data with master data specialist
➢ Create and maintain other necessary documentation required (DFMEA, Manuals etc.)
➢ Technically founded ability to provide support for quality, production and supply chain
➢ Readiness to apply knowledge to other projects, if directed

colleagues or offer your support
▪ You need to be able to receive information from several and to prioritize your work accordingly
