Logistics Manager

Location: Industrial Park Ghimbav, Brasov (Romania)

Job type: full time (Mon-Fri, 8:00-16:30)

Duration of contract: permanent
Reports to: General Manager

Company: Vestas aircoil Romania (then VP Industries Romania)

Qualifications:

• Strong management skills (developing & motivating management style)
• 3-5 years of management experience
• 3-5 years of purchasing experience on strategic, tactical and operational level
• Strong communication skills, both internally and to supply side
• Good command of English in speech and writing
• Strong ability to organize tasks and follow up
• Good knowledge of Project Planning and project management
• Good commercial understanding and knowledge
• Strong insight in cost drivers and cost calculations
• Strong ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks and follow up on them in an environment with short and changing deadlines
• Lean knowledge
• An advantage to have knowledge of steel manufacturing processes
• Advanced level of knowledge of Microsoft Office required
• Frequent local travel to be expected.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the logistic functions in the company:

– Purchasing activities (materials and services)
– Material planning (materials and services)
– Production planning
– Warehousing/Internal transport
– Shipping
– Logistic projects & tasks

- Responsible for continuous development of optimal logistic policies, processes, procedures, instructions and logistic staff
- Responsible for daily operation and performance of logistic processes and staff
- Ensuring competitive sourcing (parts and services), minimum stock and high delivery performance.
