Purchasing Specialist

Location: Industrial Park Ghimbav, Brasov (Romania)

Job type: full time (Mon-Fri, 8:00 – 16:30)

Reports to: Supply Chain Manager

Duration of contract: permanent

Summary:
Responsible for strategic, tactical and operational level of:

• Sourcing
• Savings
• Negotiation (contracts, conditions and prices to support the Group Procurement Policy)
• Category management.

Essential functions:

Safety (EHS)
• Represent our Safety Culture & Environmental Policy when interacting with internal and external partners.

Quality
• Secure we always have the needed supplier capabilities
• Ensure correct setup of data following the internal procedures
• Responsible to drive our external partners towards Zero defects
• Responsible for the development and improvement of “own” suppliers and ensure development plans for key suppliers exists according to group standards
• Responsible to only use approved suppliers and following group guidelines
• Ensure correct handover of tasks to Material Planning
• Ensure daily operations in QDA database are according with the to-do list.

Delivery
• Ensure the daily tasks are met without delays and find solutions for efficiency improvement
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure a smooth flow in order to fulfill daily tasks
• Responsible to manage key suppliers according to agreements and clear Technical Purchase Specifications (TPS)
• Responsible through Category Management and our Sourcing model to create high standards in terms of risk sharing and capturing commercial benefits together with our suppliers and service.

Cost
• Responsible for gaining savings, ensure cost savings by always searching for lowest cost (with total Logistics Cost – view in mind)
• Minimize COPQ related to supplier, strive for Zero defects.

Scope of responsibility: local (for agreed suppliers/categories it can be a global function).

Qualifications:
– 3 years of experience in a Procurement position
– High sense of category management
– Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
– Good English level (medium)
– Experience with technical documentations is a plus
– High sense of responsibility and self-motivation
– Good communications skills
– Ability to multi-task, handle projects and meet project deadlines.
