Technical Manager

Location: Industrial Park Ghimbav, Brasov
Job type: full time (Mon-Fri, 8:00-16:30)

Duration of contract: permanent
Reports to: COO & Group Technical Director

Company: Vestas aircoil Romania

Position summary:

• Management of the Technical department
• Planning the execution of design projects for cooler products
• Being part of and support the local management team
• Welding –ISO standards and certifications
• In country manager for employees with reference to Global Technical department and
  local GM, contracts, salary and HR to GM, work task, procedures and duties to GTD.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience from manufacturing industries

• Mechanical Engineer on Bachelor or Master level

• Documented management experience, excellent understanding of teamwork and working in
  a multinational flat organization

• Experience from international / global operated companies

• English on business level both in oral and writing

• Knowledge of 3 & 2D CAD design software, LEAN and ERP systems
  

• Knowledge on design and implementation of business processes
  

• In depth knowledge on technical communication via drawings and BOMs.
  

KPIs for the position:

• Close and proactive relationship to global and local stakeholders
• Develop the department according to agreed global company strategy
• Act as a role model based on core values for the team and company

Travel requirements:

• Local travel and travel to other sites will occur (EU, US & China).
