Health, Safety & Environment Engineer

Location: Industrial Park Ghimbav, Brasov
Job type: full time (Mon-Fri, 8:00-16:30)

Duration of contract: permanent

Reports to: QESH Manager

Essential functions:
– System certifications/ surveillance audits. Implementation of corrective actions of founded nonconformities, recommendations or observations
– Environment activities: waste management, packing materials, chemical substances
– Monitor the plant defined indicators (ex: power, gas consumption)
– Submit the documentation for Environment authorization
– Monthly environment reporting to authorities according to local laws and regulations
– First contact with local authority or external services for Safety
– Monitor the plant defined indicators (ex: incidents, near miss etc.)
– Safety committee activities, regular training theme for Emergency situations & Health and Security in work, trainings follow-up; risk assessment for occupations inside the plant
– Follow and apply local Safety laws and regulations
– Perform internal audits and critical process audits, 5S and 6M audits
– Monthly reporting to QESH Manager.

First priority of this role is Safety, Health & Emergency.

Qualifications
– University degree, preferably in a technical field (ex. Mechanical Engineering)
– 3 years of experience in a similar role, in a manufacturing environment
– Knowledgeable of laws and regulations for Environment and Safety area
– Strong communication and coordination skills
– Good English level (spoken, reading, writing) and good Microsoft Office skills.
